Michael Bjorge, Principal Landscape Designer and Owner of Pacifica Landscape Works and the Pacifica Design Group in Vancouver, is in his element when it comes to capturing a landscape design vision and making it a reality.
Nothing excites him more than exceeding his client’s expectations and drawing from his training, experience and what appears to be his innate ability. Michael loves to provide dramatic outdoor living spaces, while ensuring they are functional and sustainable environments. These spaces include surrounding plantings of large trees, designing with local environmental conditions and the incorporation of native species. In other words, Michael strives to enhance what nature has already provided.
Michael’s passion and commitment to his craft is evident in every project that he completes. His work showcases his unique style, and demonstrates his design adaptability to different locales, typography, themes and architectural styles. Michael draws inspiration from the West Coast whether he is out on the ocean Stand Up Paddle Boarding, or in the mountains where he can be found camping and shooting fine art landscape photography. “The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his information and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he’s always doing both.” – James A. Michener
“Study nature, love nature, stay close to nature. It will never fail you.” – Frank Lloyd Wright
